“The TV stand provided does not support the weight of this 58" TV. When i mount it on the stand the TV seems to rock. I did not expect this from a SAMSUNG . I have a Hitachi 55" and it stands sturdy on its base. What are my options ?”

My stand is solid and stable. Did you check the base-to-TV placement? Are the screws secured properly? A few minor readjustments may stabilize things.
