• No noticeable heat, maybe a tiny bit if you place your hand directly over the power supply. With 90deg cables you could flush mount no prob.

• I've had the tv on all day and it doesn't get that hot, maybe warm at most. It also depends on your HDMI cable, but it's a slim tv so not much space needed on the back. Maybe a few inches for the HDMI cable to fit properly.
