“I have a non Samsung sound bar connected via the optical cable. Is there a way to control the volume through the TV remote? Currently it seems that the audio optical output is fixed and not variable. Currrently i must use the sound bar remote for volume”

• Not with the optical cable but you may if you can use the arc hdmi port and a hdmi cord

• I think you can go to settings, and find the option to use a soundbar
