“My 65 inch Samsung smart TV shuts off on me periodically. There seems to be no remedy for it so I was never going to buy another Samsung TV. Has anyone experienced this with this television?”

i have a visio that did same thing.....it was a setting adjustment. Power Setting .... if you choose energy savings .... the tv actually NEVER turns off its a type of standby mode and after while i feel it glitches and shuts off. i changed that setting and have had no issues
