The series 6 only works with 2g networks. The series 7 with 2g and 5G. The HDR processor on the series 7 is better and also have some smart features like auto configuration of the remote to control any device you connect to the tv, like cable box, blue ray player etc. It makes more sense to buy the 7 for just a few more dollars.
