I use my BeatsX wireless headphones, but I believe any bluetooth headphones will work. You can also listen to the tv speakers and the headphones at the same time, so it makes it much easier for those that one to tune out the background noise.

I obtained OTICON hearing aids which have a box synced into the TV (Cable box) and now I can adjust the volume through my aids while the TV sound is lowered or even totally muted. Before that I had headphones from Sharper image that were wireless but got uncomfortable after a time.
