There are real differences between the Q8 and the Q9. Whether it's worth the substantial price differential is subjective. I would recommend you look at the Samsung QLED TV web site. It has a feature which will allow you to do a side-by-side comparison of the two models. This should help you in making a decision. Hope this helps.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. We went with the Q8 because of the price. The little bit of time I've had to watch the TV the picture is incredible.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. We wanted to buy the q9, but opted for the q8. We love it! There really isn't anything that I feel we are missing out on. I figure I will buy a nice sound bar and stand with the $2k we saved.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I looked at them side by side and did not see much difference. The salesman said the 9 was brighter with more clarity. This is pretty darned bright with clarity. I am really happy with it. I have it in a 28 foot room with 3 seating sections - people watch from all 3 areas and it looks awesome. I even watch from the kitchen and enjoy it.
