“I have an HP Pavilion Star Wars Edition that came with a 1TB ATA. The drive is giving messages that its failing and I would like to upgrade to this Samsung drive. Will this fit and come with everything to migrate my current operating system and software?”

I am the one who posed the question and I am letting anyone interested know that this drive fits perfectly in the old drive’s place. Rails and cable fit from the old drive.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes . The migration tool Samsung offers works well . But , I suggest a clean install of the Operating System . Sounds as if your old drive has missing or, corrupted sectors. Just plan on doing a clean install of the Operating System . You'll be glad you did in the end .
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Ssd disk fits in your computer, it is smaller than actual disk. What you need to decide is either make a full backup of old disk and restore to the new one, or install a new fresh windows in the new one and copy manually all documents and reinstall all apps that you have in actual disk. Both solutions require some computing knowledge.
