• There are a lot of websites that offer the details of the two drives. In a nutshell, this is the new generation of Samsung consumer SSD. It is faster than the 860, and maintains a very competitive price point.

• from my research before I purchased the 870 EVO there were just some minor tweeks, both are very good drives.
