If your PS5 already uses an NVME drive then it should work. As long as you have a spare NVME slot it should work. You might need to buy the M2 screw needed to secure it into the drive slot. My desktop computer actually HAD an M2 screw screwed into the empty NVME slot. (Thank you Dell!!!). I guess if you don’t have a spare NVME slot you’re going to have to figure out how to first clone your original drive to this NVME drive, then install this NVME drive into your computer, that is assuming your primary drive is an NVME drive.

Also, the PS5 includes Gen 4 M.2 bays and Gen 5 SSDs are not backwards compatible with Gen 4 bays. The 990 PRO is most compatible with the PS5. The 990 PRO is designed for tech enthusiasts, hardcore gamers and heavy-workload professionals who want blazing fast speed. More than 55% improvement in random performance enables faster loads for an ultimate gaming experience on PS5 and DirectStorage PC games. - Samsung Memory
