We have the S8+ and it is a pain to get it to work. We were told it was the case of the phone but even when we take the case off, it is hard to get it to work and we have 2 so it's not just a bad unit, they both do this. When we can get it to charge though, it works great.

As long as there is the wireless chargimg capability in the pho e, yes it will. It will even charge with a case on the phone. My s7 charges well with and without the case.
