Does charger go off automatically when my S9+ is fully charged and how bright is the light null

the light is fairly bright, since I have it on my nightstand, I have it turned where I can see it, but it's not directly pointing at me. it'll be now while charging and green when fully charged. you can slightly hear the cooling fan while charging but when it's charged, you don't, so it seems that it kind of goes into a trickle charge or stops when it senses a full charge

No, it works exactly like the corded charger and will keep charging as long as it is connected. The only noise is the hum of the fan and the only light is the one on your phone. 
What I've done, is charge during the day when not using. It's a fast charge so don't need top leave it for several hours at night.

The light on charge pad turns green when its charged. Just a small light.
