I am not sure about the Sonos system, I don't see why not. As far as the high dollar cable for 4k, I bought one for almost $200.00 even though a friend of mine told me it wasn't necessary. I believe he was right. I watched a 3D blue ray movie threw the faster cable then I watched another 3D movie. threw my old receiver system with the cheaper cable (about $45.00) and noticed no difference. If I were you, I would try it with your regular HDMI cable 1st and save a lot of money

It is my understanding from a reputable source that you do not need a very expensive HDMI cable to get 4K. Use some of what you save towards a surge protector. Money well spent.
