Does this convert 2d to 3d? null

The other people must have read the question wrong.... The answer is NO, because a 3D bluray player is not needed for just 2D-3D. Any new 3D HDTV alone does that 2d-3d conversion all by itself. ANYTHING that you can see on your 3D TV can have the 2d to 3d "effect". To prove it, just hook up your laptop to your 3d tv, and watch it in 2d-3d! (with 3d glasses of course)
