• Hi Bernie! This model is designed to be mounted about a range or cooktop. Because of this, it will need to be mounted on a wall with the underside open. This will allow for proper ventilation. ^Jecca

• I think you could. But with the lights and fan on the bottom it would be a shame to spend the money and not be able to use all the options
