We were indeed missing retaining clips and so I called the number as suggested in the reply. I was transferred from Support to Geek Squad to Parts and then ultimately told to go buy them in store. But parts could not tell me how much they cost nor if they were even sold in store. What a joke.

Sounds like what they have been doing is pulling clips from other packages to fulfill their current delivery so it's an endless cycle of missing clips and the last deliveryis stuck with one clip short. Seems to be a known issue that is not getting fixed.
