• It will work perfectly but only as a mass storage device, is fast data transfer and high capacity for media.

• I don't see why it wouldn't. How old is the laptop and what OS are you running? If you have a built in SD or microSD card reader, you should be good to go. If you are using a USB card reader, it depends on the age of the card reader and what OS you are running. I was not able to use a USB card reader that I bought about 6+ years ago because sandisk stopped supporting and thus there were no drivers.
