I like using name brand accessories whenever possible. Cheaper cables may not charge the phone correctly....The Samsung cable is about 5 feet long.

It is suggested that you use the cable that comes with, the cable is about 3 feet long.

ANY DROID CABLE WILL WORK BUT THE USB ADAPTER POWER FOR THE CHARGER SHOULD BE 5VOLT. AS THIS IS WHAT GIVES YOU THE FAST CHARGING. THE CABLE IS ABOUT 5FT. LONG FROM WALL OUTLET TO CHARGER. JUST PLACE CHARGER ON NIGHT STAND OR END TABLE AND LEAVE IT.

You just need to be sure your cable will handle the wattage of the charger. It does not come with a cable.
