You need to use the high output fast charge wall adapter or it will only charge at the lower rate. The fast charge adapter does come with the complete version. I have seen some places that only sell the charge base without the fast adapter so be careful what you buy.

The charging pad comes with it's own charging cord and doesn't require an additional fast cord. It's already packaged for immediate fast charging use.

You have to use the higher rated rapid charger. The base actually has a cooling fan while rapid charging. It charges as a slower rate with standard chargers.
