Danielw5536, A standard 2.0 usb port of a laptop, for example, is limited to a given amount of electrical flow or amperage. It was not designed to put out what the Samsung "Fast Charge" charger is designed to provide. The wall outlet is protected by a 15 or 20 Amp circuit breaker. This is like tapping into a river versus a small country stream. Huge difference in the amount of flow, in your case, electrons flowing through the wires. Make sure you are connecting a Samsung phone designed for "Fast Charging". Otherwise the charger will sense this & will charge the phone at the slower, standard rate so as not to damage your phone. Happy charging!
