When the divider is in place, the bake feature is not available. You have to use the convection feature. I have found it to be inconsistent in that mode. It has been disappointing.

It's fine for cookies and such with the rack at the LOWEST setting, but cakes or other baked goods should be set in the lower oven. Reason being that the heating element in the top oven is located on the very top of the oven and is prone to scorching the top of what your cooking. Foil can help this. I have had success with cookies and such in the top as long as it's in the second to lowest position in the top. As for cakes... defiantly avoid using the top oven.
