Can slide in ranges go into an island without a hood? null

I do not know if it is "manufacturer recommended" but we had one in an island for 13 years with no problems and with no hood.

Technically yes, but a hood is recommended to exhaust steam and cooking gasses. We installed a curved glass island hood and love it.

There is no built-In smoke filter fan....So, any fumes or smoke will just disperse into your home.

Yes and a Virginia county inspector signed off on it. Good luck if you're buying from Best Buy because my experience was truly pitiful.
