Can you see the screen in bright sunlight? Can you see what you are taking a picture of on the screen when in bright sunlight? My Kodak and my Nikon cameras died just over 1 year each so not even looking at those brands. Am using my phone (LG) now, but need a real camera because I cannot see anything on the screen in bright sunlight. I want to be sure any camera I get does not have the same problem.

Surprisingly it does well in bright light. The screen is huge but fade is not a real problem

This camera has the same problem you phone does. In sunlight, you cannot see the view finder and that does cause utilization problems. I am looking for some type of filter to use over the view finder to aid in viewing it in sunlightt. Just started looking so I can't recommend anything yet. Most cameras with just the viewing screen have the sunlight issue. Thie Samsung is packed with features, but you need to decide whether you need all of them or not.

I find it near impossible top see what is on the screen in bright sunshine. I should have noted that in my review of the camera because it makes it difficult to near impossible at times especially when there is bright sunshine.

Very difficult-lots of glare, but maybe they make a screen cover that would help. You have to tilt it, which bc of the large screen is easier, to get the glare off.

yes! of course the brighter the screen the more battery power is consumed.
