You should be able to. Using your sim card in a new phone does not affect your phone number. Depending on the physical size of the sim card you have now, you might need to get a new one at a t mobile retailer (I believe bestbuy can do this as well, but with the curbside only I'm not sure). I believe the size for the sim card is nano, the smallest size.
