• Yes, it is fully unlocked. I just came back from Brazil and I used it while I was there with a local SIM and I had no issues at all. I could have even added another SIM from another provider, including ones from the U.S.

• I sent this phone to my stepdad and he was able to just swap his current Cricket sim card and it worked fine.
