Yes, it is. I'm using it now with Straight talk. Straight talk uses mostly Verizon but with some higher end phones, including this one, you can request an ATT sim card. I did and I love it!! Att has better coverage, at least for me. No, no waiting period.. other than waiting for your sim card to come in and then for the transfer to the new phone.
