Yes, this phone will work with Verizon prepaid, however you can not purchase the phone with a prepaid account at Best Buy if you are wanting to activate it with any Verizon deals. You would either have to buy the phone somewhere else, or purchase an unlocked phone, Best Buy apparently can not access Prepaid accounts when activating Verizon-based phones
