- Answer I had to get a new Sim card at Verizon (my phone carrier) because Best Buy didn't give one when I purchased the phone (they should have). My old phone was 4G and this phone is 5G - Verizon said I needed a new one for all the 5G capabilities to work. Thankfully Verizon didn't charge me for the new card or to swap it out.
