I would say in between. The silicone tip goes slightly in the ear canal but the bulkier part rests inside the ear - which (for me) gets really uncomfortable after a short period of time.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.They just sit inside my ear. The earbuds housing is too big for my ears for it to get into or to stay in place. If I had bigger ears, they might be ok. But I have small to regular-sized ears.
