• yes, they can filter out ambient noise, making them kinda like a hearing aid.

• You should look at Samsungs website. These do have ambient sound settings but im not sure about hearing aids.

• Adaptive backround sound kicks in when it hears a voice, therebis a setting to turn on and off.
