There are quite a few differences. The internals are basically the same, with the Snapdragon 820 CPU, camera module, etc. The Note 7 has an iris scanner, of course the S-Pen and related apps which neither the S7 or S7 edge have, and curved screen-much like the S7 Edge curved screen but more subtle to allow for S-Pen input at the edges. The S7 has a smaller, flat screen.. The screen is also the same resolution at Quad HD but larger at 5.7". It has a new, more streamlined version of Touchwiz as well. They do some nice comparisons on YouTube if you are inclined to watch them. Overall, if you own the S7 Edge with the curved 5.5" screen, and don't care about the iris scanner or S-Pen, then you might choose to wait for the S8. From the S7 to Note 7 is a big upgrade in terms of screen size and curved screen.
