• I think you will get credit for a trade in, depending on the phone. Best buy has a trade in tool you can use to determine how much you will get.

• I didn't have to trade in my note 5 to best buy but I do know that you can get a larger credit through Samsung shop.

• You can get a credit, but the amount is dependant on make and condition according to who you are trading with. If they want your phone you will get more.
