I have the Galaxy s5 and yes....it's supposed to be water proof BUT I have not tested it.

It's not waterproof, but the casing is more water resistant than other Galaxy models - it has somewhat of a gasket internally, and you need to pop a small cover out of the way to charge the phone, as that cover provides some protection against water entry.
