I don't know the answer to that question. The Best Buy associate did all the set-up and activation of my phone when I purchased it. Why don't you just ask at Best Buy.

Believe so as that's what the Best Buy store did with my Verizon sim card going from an S7 to S10e.

In order to get the activate today price you have to sign up as a new customer to any of the carriers they are offering, it will not work if you already have a cell phone carrier.
