• Yes, there is a connection fee for Verizon (and the other carriers too, I believe). They are listed in the product information on this website. For my Verizon account, the one-time connection fee was $30, added to our next Verizon bill.

• Yes there is. But if you haggle with them enough they usually drop it. Just depends on who you get but negotiate on the phone with Verizon and not at the store. If you paid at the store call Verizon and negotiate with them they usually will.
