Yeppers. This is half of the reason I love unlocked phones. Understand though that some carriers use different networks and different SIM cards. There are versions of this phone (EU variants, I believe) that are "dual SIM" meaning that they can use both of the major variants of SIM card and are compatible with both networks. Unlocked phones are kind of a new thing here in the US where we allow carriers to monopolize the airwaves and essentially build high walls around their particular flavor of service/network, but other parts of the world have been past this for a while. We let people pile cash as high as they can, which arguably accomplishes nothing for anyone, then the bureaucracy protects their money all day to the detriment of the people. I'm not going to start quoting Marx or anything, but...
