It is slightly raised(maybe .5mm), but the otter box had an extra mm or two. The back is glossy, but at an angle or straight on I don't see a difference in color.

Yes it is raised to protect the camera lenses at the back. Exact cutout fit for all lenses. Back of the Case is clear transparent but it's still has good grip feel and not slippery. The sides has a more frost matte finish.

Yes, that is an awesome aspect of this Samsung case. The case has circles that match each lens in the camera array and cuts down on lint gathering and protection. Get it!

The cameras are recessed in the case to protect them.  The finish is shineyand clear so color of phone shows through.
