• At the few locations around my area (Western New York), they always have allowed me to use the gift card towards the purchase of the device. Good Luck!

• Actually, I bought the pink S7 edge in person at a Best Buy and I was allowed to use the gift card towards the phone. Now I realize all stores Witt react differently so I am simply letting you know what I experienced in regards to your question. I do not know that for sure they will let you use it too, I would hope so.

• Just spoke with a representative from best buy regarding this same issue. To make a long story short: no, you cannot apply the best buy $150 gift card that you receive to this purchase. To quote the representative directly: "Absolutely not. The $150 gift card can be applied to any best buy purchases subsequent to this phone." Hope this helps because I was in the same boat, I thought I could renew my Verizon contract and get this s7 for $50.
