• I just got my S8+ yesterday from best buy. I am using the phone with cricket service you must purchase the AT&T phone. Straight out of the box it will work Cricket is AT&T

• Do not listen to that person, yes you can use it on the cricket network. Cricket runs on At&t bands so as long as you get a At&t variant of the phone you are good to go. If your in doubt just look at the AT&T spectrum bands and Crickets. I have used plenty of AT&T branded phones just fine on Cricket.
