Actually, this is the "Flex Lease", which refers to the payment plan for the device. At present (2-23-2018) this is $8/month for a new account/line of service. Upgrades will be different. The Flex Lease means that after 12 consecutive payments, you are able to upgrade to a new device, with no additional charge. Months 13-18, you may keep the lease at the same rate. After 18 months, you may cancel the line with no penalty, or upgrade. If you choose to upgrade, you may either return the device to Sprint (they send you a prepaid mailer) or pay the outstanding balance in either one lump sum, or over 6 months. The plans that are available for service, for a single line are $40 for Unlimited talk/text + 2GB data, or $60 for the same with unlimited data. If this is part of a shared/family plan, then there are incremental charges for additional lines, unless it's an older plan, in which case you should speak to Sprint regarding pricing and availability.
