Pre-orders were over as of 04/20/2017. You can just walk in and buy one now, as long as they aren't sold out at the time. It is never necessary to have a trade-in. Trade-ins are always an option. You just sometimes get a special deal with a trade-in is all. Only orders placed and approved no later than 04/20/2017 are accepted for the free VR and Oculus promo. Sorry. The promo has ended.
