• You can fold it back just fine, but you'll end up handling the keys, which could be a problem. The case is in two parts and the keyboard attaches magnetically, so it is very easy to take on and off. That's what I usually end up doing. The part that holds the pen sticks out from the back.

• It can fold all the way back if you need it to. However, the case comes in two parts. The keyboard and the tablet cover. They attach via a magnetic connection and it is very easy and convenient to simply disconnect when you want to use the tablet alone and then re-attach to store.
