• It all depends when your MacBook Pro was built. MacBook pros built after 2016 have soldered on drives which are non-upgradable nor replaceable.

• depends on how hardcore you are with software and this version of the drive to be external. macbooks suck

• Yes. When you connect it with any Mac it’ll say that the drive needs to be initialized to be used. Just reformat it and it works perfectly. I use these for my video editing off my Mac laptops and desktops.
