No, you cannot use your own surround sound speakers with this soundbar. The soundbar comes with rear speakers that connect to the main soundbar wirelessly via bluetooth. There are no provisions to connected hard-wired speakers to the soundbar. It's all done via bluetooth. If you are considering this soundbar in the first place, you probably want Dolby ATMOS. The rear speakers and the soundbar have up-firing drivers to bounce sound off the ceiling for the effect of hearing sound coming from above. If you used your own surround speakers, you would not have the up-firing drivers in the rear speakers, which would cripple the ATMOS capability of this soundbar. You are paying a premium price to get ATMOS capability in this soundbar, so just use it as it comes out of the box. BTW, the ATMOS sound from this product is incredible! Money well spent.
