It’ll connect via optical connection, but 2016 TVs support sound bars up to 5.1 channels only via the ARC connection.

As long as your TV has an HDMI-ARC connection, or a fiber-optic out port, it should work just fine. Just follow the instructions in the operation manual.

HI JJ! The HW-Q65T is compatible with any TV that supports HDMI, digital optical audio, and Bluetooth wireless audio technology. Your 2016 Samsung TV should support one of these connections, however you may want to double check the back of the TV or user manual to confirm.
