• Hi! You can certainly place the HW-Q65T on the same piece of furniture that the TV rests on without causing damage to the TV. We suggest placing the soundbar centered directly below the TV in front of the TV legs for the optimal experience. ^Tim

• Only CRT TV's are affected by Magnets, LCD, and OLED will not see any distortion.
