• Hi Richard, The HW-Q750B Soundbar does come with speakers that top-firing when you are playing Dolby Atmos content. If there is a shelf above those speakers this will diminish the quality of your audio experience. ~Samsung Solutions

• The sound bar comes with two up firing speakers. You'll have to make sure those are unobstructed if you want the optimal sound experience.
