Yes, you could mount above the TV, but it might make it sound a tad different than mounting it below it.

Hi there,

The HW-S800B Soundbar can be mounted above the TV. You will need to make sure that you can plug the Soundbar in for power, where you might need an extension cable depending on how far up you will want to mount.

The HW-S800B Soundbar comes with it's own wall mount and it's exclusively compatible with this mount so keep this in mind as well.
