Can surround sound speakers be hooked up to the player? I was thinking about purchasing some speakers, but I wanted to know if they will even be able to be hooked up to the player

Although the BD-C6900 is not a home theater receiver, and therefore speakers cannot be connected directly to it, Samsung does offer the HT-C6900 which offers a similar BD player with the functionality of a receiver (speakers are included and cannot be swapped out). -MrSamsung
