Yes, you can answer the phone, hang up a call and get notification icons (when you click on them the phone prompts you to flip open the case to actually read notifications). Not much else as far as I can tell, still very helpful for my use. It's nice to be able to talk or simply check the time with the case closed. Also, it's a first party product, so the phone reads it as soon as you put it on. No need to adjust settings for the display, it just works. I do however recommend going into the always on settings to have the time display all the time. Honestly, this is the coolest case I've ever purchased.

The case have a clear edge window where you're able to se your notifications and yes you will able to answer a call without open the case

No buttons in the clear edge. it is the screen on your phone knows to show through certain items like the time and date and any app with notifications.

No! I would like that feature but it say open the phone to answer calls. I wish you could check texts or answer calls without opening it but you'll have to open the case to do so.

Yes, You can Answer or Deny any phone call just like You would if You were using the phone Screen.
It also shows charging status, if you have notifications waiting, battery level, it even shows you the first four or five notifications, then a #counting how many other notifications. I had the S view case for all the Galaxy phones I have owned, this is probably one of the best (also so makes since that the power buttun is now on same side of phone as volume rocker. Got a good price/discount on mine at Best Buy, they are overly priced of course as a Samsung branded item, should check amazon also !!!

There are no buttons, but you can answer and decline a call without opening the case, by sliding the answer reject icon displayed in the clear portion.
